Spending 10 years in the UWS of Manhattan and frequenting H&H bagels, I had become very critical of a good bagel. Now that I live in Berks County PA, my standards have dropped quite a bit. New York Bagelry makes a very good tasting bagel that is far superior to any other bagel place in the Reading/Berks area, but they could put just a little more effort into their consistency. Although they consistently make a round bagel, the shape within that circle tends to be all over the place. Service is always great! The place looks exactly how it should look for a bagel place. Note to the owner- I come about once every two weeks and always order a dozen bagels with a small cream cheese. You would absolutely make my day if all 14 bagels had similar, if not identical shape. What can I say, I am a very simple man!

There was a huge line so I was excited to see what I was missing out on. The cashier was very polite and took our order quickly. Bagel sandwiches were a little expensive, but definitely worth it! I will definitely be a returning customer.

On our way to phl from reading we stopped on the recommendation from a good friend. Best bagel egg sausage sammitch I've ever had. Had a cold clover farms chocolate milk and left with a tasty pumpkin spice hot drink for the journey ahead. Counter was fast and friendly with great suggestions. My everything bagelwich rocked! Clean no frills good food.
